Mystic Krewe of Aquarius Mardi Gras Ball and Pageant 8:00pm. “Aquarius Takes a Resort Vacation” is the theme for this year’s 26th annual event at the San Luis Resort’s Grand Ballroom. The evening begins at 8pm with a spectacular pageant and coronation of 2012 King Andy Kerstens and his wife Queen Danette Kerstens. Dancing will follow the dance beats of Ezra Charles and the works until midnight. There will be a cash bar and breakfast will be served at 11:30pm. Black tie or costume. Open to public.

The famous party the evening before the big Seawall Parade will feature the high-energy sounds of ‘98 in the Shade’. There will be plenty of food and drink and the always popular bead toss. Krewe of Thalasar Ball 8:00pm midnight. The Krewe of Thalasar heads to the Jockusch Building at 21st and Strand for it's annual Krewe Ball. This year's theme is “What Happens In Vegas, Stays In Vegas!” and the ball is open to the public. The Thalasar Ball features a catered buffet, drinks and live music by “Cold Shot”.

Knights of Momus Coronation Ball 7:00pm. Hosted by Galveston’s oldest Mardi Gras Krewe, presentation of King Frivolous XCVII, the Queen and 20 duchesses from universities across the nation. Following the coronation, the Krewe will dine and dance the night away with special entertainment. Black-tie/mask, Grand Opera House, by invitation only.
Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire Presents “An Evening in the Orient” 8:30pm 1:00am. Krewe d Esprit Rosaire will present their annual Mardi Gras Ball this year’s theme is “An Evening in the Orient” this year’s event will be held at Moody Gardens in Expo A the royal pageant will begin at 830pm and the ball and festivities will begin at 9:30pm. Music will be provided by the local band the Mambo Jazz Kings. Tickets are 30.00 individually or 250.00 for a table of 10. Cash bar and light hors d’ouvres will be provided. There will be a New Orleans style second line and bead throwing as well as line dancing and fun activities throughout the night. New Orleans native and renowned jazz clarinetist Dr. Michael White and his quartet will perform February 17 at The Tremont House as part of Mardi Gras! Galveston 2012. Since 2006, White and his quartet have performed at The Tremont House during the Mardi Gras Festivities in Galveston and The Tremont House Ball. Krewe of WHO? Mardi Gras Ball 7:30pm - ?. This is our fun theme-based event (our theme this year is Asian Fantasy. The party is at the Galveston Hilton Island Resort, 5400 Seawall Blvd. Dress to the theme or whatever you are in the mood for. Come ready to dance and party the night away. Entertainment will be provided by The Sugarland Brass Company. Dinner will be catered by the Hilton Hotel. The San Luis Salute 7:30pm. San Luis Salute to South Beach, a lavish night celebrating Galveston’s Mardi Gras, will feature an evening of non-stop entertainment with the celebrated Jessie’s Girls, an elegant seated dinner, royal procession of the Knights of Momus court, glamorous gala guests, fashions and revelry. Krewe of WHO? Tailgate Party and Processional 11:30am. Come march with the Krewe of WHO? in the ZKrewe Processional. The parade starts at 1:00 pm, but we will meet for a tail gate party at 11:30 am. We will “Tail-Gate” at the assembly area before and after the parade. Right after the processional and tail gate festivities, our Balcony Party starts for those with tickets to that event. However, there is no charge to march with us in the processional and all participants can tailgate with us before and after the parade.
