Da Krewe du Roux is a 70-member, Louisiana-inspired krewe known for bringing high energy, creativity, and community purpose to the island. With their charitable focus supporting El Mina Shriners and Ronald McDonald House of Galveston, Da Krewe du Roux embodies the vibrant spirit and neighborly heart at the core of Mardi Gras! Galveston.
The Newe Krewe Award complements the traditional George Mitchell Award, which recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to Galveston’s cultural and community landscape.
